HIGH LOAD CAPACITY · PRESSURE-FOCUSED DESIGN
Hydraulic cylinders engineered around demanding pressure, structural load and safety requirements for heavy industrial equipment.
High-pressure cylinder design requires more than increasing wall thickness. Barrel strength, rod buckling, end-cap retention, seal extrusion resistance, ports, mounting loads and pressure-cycle fatigue must be evaluated as a complete system.

APPLICATION FIT
Why This Cylinder Type Is Selected
Selection should be based on machine function, load path, available space and service conditions—not only on nominal dimensions.
Pressure-Ready Structure
Tube, rod, piston, end-cap and retention details are selected around pressure, load direction and duty cycle.
Seal Support and Protection
Seal profiles, guide rings and anti-extrusion measures are matched to pressure, temperature and hydraulic fluid.
Heavy-Equipment Integration
Mountings, ports and installation geometry are reviewed to reduce concentrated loads and service difficulties.

TECHNICAL INPUTS
Pressure Rating Must Match the Full Duty Cycle
Provide normal working pressure, peak pressure and any shock or holding conditions. A single maximum-pressure figure does not describe the complete application.
- Normal, peak and test pressure requirements
- Required force, load direction and holding duration
- Bore, rod diameter, stroke and unsupported rod length
- Cycle frequency, impact or pressure-spike conditions
- Mounting geometry, pin sizes, port type and hose clearance
- Fluid, temperature, contamination and corrosion exposure

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
High Pressure Hydraulic Cylinders FAQ
These answers provide a starting point. Final cylinder selection should be checked against the actual machine and hydraulic circuit.
What should be included in a high-pressure rating?
Specify normal working pressure, expected peaks, holding time, pressure cycles and the required test standard or customer specification.
Why is rod buckling important?
A long rod under compression may become unstable before material strength is reached. Stroke, mounting, load direction and effective unsupported length must be reviewed together.
Can a standard cylinder be used at a higher pressure?
Do not increase pressure without an engineering review. The barrel, rod, end closures, ports, seals and mountings must all be rated for the intended conditions.
