What OEM and replacement buyers should specify when requesting drill-rig hydraulic cylinders for underground and surface drilling equipment.

A drill-rig hydraulic cylinder RFQ should connect dimensions to the actual drilling function, impact environment and movement cycle. Supplying only bore and stroke can leave critical mounting, pressure, speed and contamination conditions unresolved.

Describe the Rig and Cylinder Function

Identify whether the unit is installed on a bolt drilling jumbo, rock drilling jumbo or tunnel boring drilling rig. State the cylinder function—such as feed, boom lifting or another controlled movement—and identify whether the project is a new OEM design or a replacement. Each function should have its own drawing and part reference.
