Application Scope of Hydraulic Cylinders for Aerial Work Vehicles

Hydraulic cylinders are the core executive components of aerial work platforms, responsible for all lifting, swinging, stretching and leveling actions of the equipment.

1. Outrigger Cylinders

   Extend and retract vehicle outriggers, support the whole machine, adjust horizontal level, ensure stable operation under tilted and eccentric load conditions, prevent tipping during high-altitude operation.

2. Lifting Boom Cylinders

   Realize the lifting, lowering, folding and unfolding of the main boom and secondary boom, control the up-and-down height of the working platform.

3. Telescopic Boom Cylinders

   Drive the multi-section arm telescopic movement to extend the horizontal outreach of the aerial work platform and expand the working coverage radius.

4. Platform Rotation & Levelling Cylinders

   Keep the working basket always in horizontal state automatically when the boom is lifted or tilted, avoid tilting of personnel and materials inside the platform.

5. Slewing Cylinders

   Drive the upper turntable to rotate left and right, adjust the overall orientation of the boom system flexibly.

6. Wheel Steering Cylinders (for self-propelled models)

   Control the steering of the chassis wheels to realize flexible walking and position adjustment on construction sites.
