Application Scope of TBM & Roadheader Hydraulic Cylinders
1. Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Main Drive System
1. Propelling Cylinder
Provide powerful forward thrust for the cutter head, overcome rock stratum resistance, control tunneling speed and straightness of the tunnel.
2. Gripper Cylinder
Push the gripper shoes tightly against the tunnel wall to lock the whole machine, create reaction force for the propulsion system during excavation.
3. Steering & Deviation Correction Cylinder
Adjust the left-right and up-down posture of the main machine, correct tunneling deviation to ensure the tunnel follows the designed axis.
2. Cutting Head & Rotary Mechanism
1. Swing Cylinder for Cutter Head
Control the horizontal and vertical swinging of the cutting arm, realize layered cutting of rock and soil.
2. Lifting Cylinder for Cutting Arm
Raise and lower the cutting boom to adjust excavation height and adapt to different working faces.
3. Conveying & Discharging System
1. Conveyor Telescopic Cylinder
Extend and retract the belt conveyor to transport muck out of the tunnel continuously.
2. Discharge Gate Cylinder
Open and close the slag outlet baffle to control the flow of excavated spoil.

1. Shield Support Cylinder
Support the tunnel surrounding rock temporarily to prevent collapse and ensure construction safety.
2. Sprinkler Arm Lifting Cylinder
Adjust the angle of dust suppression spray pipes to reduce dust in the working area.
3. Foot Jack Leveling Cylinder
Level the whole equipment on uneven ground during startup and parking.
5. Roadheader (Coal Mine Underground Excavator) Special Cylinders
